Covid Update for Qatar

Last update: 07/01/2022

Passengers arriving from countries deemed to be low-risk for COVID-19 can now travel to Qatar, as well as fully vaccinated travelers. Most travelers must have a negative PCR test result issued no more than 72 hours before arrival in Qatar, with the exception of fully vaccinated Umrah passengers arriving from Saudi Arabia and those arriving from low-risk countries. Passengers who are fully vaccinated with Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Sputnik V, must have: a positive COVID-19 serology antibody test taken at most 30 days before departure; or a vaccination certificate stating that they also received one vaccine dose of Covaxin, Moderna, or Pfizer-BioNTech at least 14 days before arrival. Travelers may be tested on arrival and it may be necessary to quarantine. Foreign non-residents must register online and complete an “Undertaking and Acknowledgment Form” before traveling to Qatar, as well as obtain a pre-travel approval at least 3 days before arrival. Nationals of the other GCC countries cannot currently enter Qatar with their national ID card; they must do so with a valid passport. Passengers must be fully vaccinated and have a certificate to travel to Qatar from high-risk countries. Passengers must install the Ehteraz app on a mobile device.
