International travel to Tanzania is now open and eligible citizens can apply for a Tanzania visa online. Passengers must take a test on arrival and quarantine until they receive a negative result unless they have one of the following: a COVID-19 vaccine certificate showing full vaccination; a negative COVID-19 NAAT or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure; or recovery certificate issued between 10 and 180 days before arrival. Passengers are also required to complete a “Traveler’s Surveillance Form” within 24 hours before arrival in Tanzania. Arrivals from certain countries must also take an antigen test at their own expense on arrival. Children aged 5 and under are exempt from all test requirements.
