This Visa aims to enhance travel to UAE and make life easier for UAE residents and extended family members. However, remember tourists are solely responsible for ensuring they fulfill UAE Government requirements for travel, which may include police clearances, medical insurance, etc.
What Are The Other UAE Tourist Visa Options?
A UAE-registered tourist agency can issue a 30 or 90-day visa (single-entry tourist visa) that Dubai visa price is between AED 300 to AED 600. Do US Citizens Need A Visa To Travel To The UAE?
In short, US citizens don’t need a visa to travel to UAE for short periods at a time. All US citizens qualify for a UAE Visa On Arrival. However, you must have a round-trip ticket and a passport valid for more than six months to enter Dubai at any time. You can stay in the UAE with the Visa On Arrival for 30 days or less.
Who Is Eligible For The Five-Year Multiple Entry Visa For UAE?
The five-year multiple-entry visa for UAE is available for foreign nationals from all countries. To meet the eligibility requirements, you must provide a passport with six-month validity at the time of submission, a passport size photograph, medical insurance valid for the UAE, and a bank statement of the last six months with a minimum balance of $4,000 or equivalent in other currencies. Applications undergo scrutiny and extensive review because it is a five-year multiple entry visa. This is why you must make sure you have all the required documents.

You can apply directly on the ICA or GDRFA website (I’ll discuss the application process later in the post). These travel documents are crucial for your application.

- Bank statement for the last six months to prove that you have a balance of USD 4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
- Proof of UAE health insurance.
- Photocopies of the front and last page of your passport.
- Recent colored passport-sized photographs which you must take against a white background.
Additional Documents You Might Need
You might need to provide additional documents during your UAE 5-year multiple entry visa application. These documents can include a copy of your flight ticket and proof of residence, like an invitation letter from friends and family in the UAE, hotel bookings, or a lease agreement.
During the visa application, there will be a place where you must provide your address in the UAE. This is where you put the address you’ll live during your stay. If you want to apply for the UAE or Dubai 5-year tourist visa from immigration departments in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra (Western region), you can do so on the ICA website. The GDRFA will authorize the five-year multiple-entry tourist visas issued through Dubai. I’ll give you a step-by-step guide so you can apply for your UAE Tourist Visa.
Step1: Access the website
Access the ICA website to start your application. Once you access the website, click on “Public Services.” This will give you a list of UAE visas you can apply for. The box that says “Visa-multiple entry-longterm (for 5 years) for all nationalities” is the Visa you want to apply for. Click on the “start service” option.
Step2: Fill out the application form
Next, you need to provide a bunch of information. There are 4 main categories of information you need to provide. These categories are applicant information (name and email), personal information for service beneficiaries (current nationality, country of birth, passport number, and type), address inside the UAE, and address outside the UAE.
Step3: Attach required documents
Next, you must attach all the required travel documents I mentioned earlier. These documents include a copy of your valid passport, passport-size photograph, medical insurance, bank statements, and any other travel documents they might ask for.
Step4: Review your application
You’re almost done! Next, you need to review your application. This might seem like the easiest step, but it’s a crucial step in reality. You must ensure that all the information and documents you gave are correct. If you leave out any documents or you made a mistake in the application form, it could slow down the application process.
Step5: Pay the required visa fee
The last thing you need to do before submitting your application is to pay the visa fee. The online payment is secure, and you can pay with a credit card or a debit card. Then you can submit your application! The UAE 5-year tourist Dubai visa price is mentioned in this post.

Why Would They Reject My UAE Tourist Visa?
It is up to the discretion of the immigration authority to award the Visa to the applicant or not. If your 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa application gets rejected, you will get an intimation stating why they rejected your application.
The most common reasons for visa rejections are:
- Female visitors aged less than 25 years who are traveling alone.
- Applicants with a former criminal background for misconduct or fraud in the UAE or their country.

If you want to extend the annual stay in the country for more than 90 days and a period not exceeding 180 days, you can submit a request to extend while still in the UAE. You can extend your Visa through the ICA portal. The visa extension process is almost the same as the visa application process. You can only renew your visit visa two times. After that, you will have a maximum of 60 days’ extension. If you extend the Visa on the last day, you’ll have to pay a fee of 100 AED. Therefore, you must ensure you have renewed your Visa even before it expires.
What Is The Grace Period If A Tourist Overstays Their Visa?
There is a 10-day grace period for UAE visas. This means that you have 10 extra days to leave the country or extend your Visa after your Visa expires. I recommend using your grace period to apply for your visa extension.
What Is The Fine Per Day For Lapsed Tourist Visas?
Overstaying the permitted stay in the UAE under a tourist visa attracts a fine of AED 100 each day of overstay. In addition, you must pay an additional fee for an exit permit on departure if you overstay.
What Are The Dubai Visa Requirements For US Citizens?
The Dubai Visa (Dubai Visit Visa) requirements for US citizens are as follows:
American citizens who are valid passport holders don’t need a tourist visa for Dubai. However, please make sure you have the following:
- Your original passport: should not expire within 6 months from the expected arrival time in the UAE.
- Confirmed round-trip flight ticket or a flight ticket to another destination.
The visas are available upon arrival at the UAE airports (Visa On Arrival), and you can stay for 1 month in the UAE. However, if you will stay longer, you have to contact the immigration officer at the airport or the local immigration office in the UAE.
What Are The Tourist Visa For Dubai Requirements For Non-US Citizens?
The Tourist visa for Dubai entry requirements or visa requirements is relatively straightforward. First, you need your original passport (not a travel document) with 6 months validity from the expected date of travel to the UAE. You need your valid passport and a return flight ticket.
You can get a Visa On Arrival for Dubai if you’re a citizen of one of the following countries:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brunei, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Kuwait, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland (Except the British overseas citizens), Vatican.
They will grant your Visa (1 month) when you arrive at UAE airports. However, if you stay longer, you have to contact the immigration officer at the airport or the local immigration office in the UAE and apply for the same.
Tourists from other nationalities who are not eligible for a Visa On Arrival must apply for a Tourist Visa for Dubai before entering the country. They can do so through their respective embassy, a local UAE sponsor, or even a local hotel in the UAE.
What Are The Tourist Visa Dubai Requirements For GCC Nationals?
The citizens of GCC countries (the Gulf Cooperation Council), which includes Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, do not require a visa to visit the UAE.
The GCC residents who are not national citizens but work as high-level officials such as doctors, managers, engineers, public sector employees, and their families can have a 30-day non-renewable visa at all the airports in the UAE upon arrival.
