LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED.

 Original passport. + Two clear Xerox copy of the passport Information page as well as address page. HAP Id No. / TRN no / Application Id. No. Kindly print your referral letter and bring it to the clinic at the time of the medical examinition.

WHAT TO CARRY FOR THE MEDICALS

 Carry medical reports / discharge cards pertaining to any surgery or hospitalisation when available.
 List of medications (Prescription) for medicines that are consumed daily. We also require that you carry the medicines (Strips or bottles) that you take so that they can be reviewed by the examining doctor.
 If you have any chronic ailments or have suffered from Tuberculosis, you may carry the treatment summary from your treating doctor to help speed up the medical process.
 If you use spectacles / lenses please carry them to the medical. For lenses you will be required to remove them to ascertain your vision without correction.
 COVID 19 Vaccination requirement- From 1st November 2021, the Australia Department of Home Affairs has informed that if the visa applicant consents to providing COVID-19 vaccination related health information to the department, then we have to attach it to your reports. Hence if you are going to give consent you will have to get a copy of the vaccination certificate at the time of the medical examination.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE TIME OF THE MEDICALS.

 The medical will include a physical examination. You will need to undress for this examination. Ladies when examined by a male doctor will be provided a lady chaperon.

 A urine test : Ladies in their menstrual cycle should postpone the medicals till it is over. In case they come when it is on they may have to return for a repeat test after it is over.

 A blood test will be done for all Permanent Migrations for HIV. Doctors and nurses will also require HIV, HbsAg and HCV test if advised by the high commission. Based on examination findings some candidates can be asked to do extra blood tests.

 Basic vision tests.

 X Ray chest for all above 11 years of age.

 Children 2 yrs to 10 years (for permanent migrants only) will require a Tuberculin test. For this test the child will need to return back to the clinic after 48 hrs for the result. Children with a positive TT test, will also require an X Ray examination.

 Height / Weight examination.

 Breast examination for women above the age of 40 years.

TIME PERIOD OF EXAMINATION AND RESULTS.

The medical examination is likely to require two to three hours to complete. The results will be uploaded via E medicals, usually within 48 hrs. If you require them to be uploaded urgently in special cases, you may approach the doctor for this at the time of the medicals.

PRREGNANT WOMEN :

Pregnant women who wish to undergo this medical should first check with their gynaecologist about the ill effects of X ray examination. If they do not wish to carry out the X ray they should postpone their immigrant visa medical till after the delivery. If they are ready to carry out the X Ray examination they will need to sign a consent form for the X ray. They will undergo the chest x ray with protective gear provided at the clinic (double lead shield covering of the abdomen).

IMPORTANT REMINDER :

Minors (17 years old and below) must be accompanied by their parent or by a legal guardian who has thorough knowledge of the child’s medical history.
