Visas, passports and other required travel documents are not the only things to be kept handy. There are various tips and other things one should know before boarding a flight to Russia.

Russian Visa In Delhi

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law about a temporary free-visa system to allow football fans to attend the World Cup tournament without needing a travel visa during the time of the event happening. Instead of visa, you’ll be equipped with a “Fan ID” card.

What is a Fan ID card?

The Fan ID card is a special document you will need to enter Russia during The World Cup 2018 Tournament. Everyone willing to enter a stadium must possess a Fan ID card, including Russian residents.

You’ll be issued a unique ID card after you get a confirmation that you bought your World Cup match ticket. After that, you can get it at a Fan ID Registration Centers, by mail, or at the stadium if you’re a Russian resident. Its validity will last 10 days before the tournament starts on June 14 until 10 days after it ends July 15.

How to apply for a Fan ID card?

You can apply in person at the Registration Center or at the official website. To get one you’ll need to provide the following information:

  • Name and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Passport or another ID document (note that documents with whom you’re applying for a FAN ID may not be the same as those used to get a game ticket)
  • Citizenship
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Postal address

You’ll also need a colored photo portrait and a number of your ticket or the number of your order if you got more than one ticket. Your submission will take 72 hours to proceed.

This great football event will take place in Russia from 14 June until 15 July. 32 national teams will fight for the world’s best team. Exactly 11 Russian cities will be hosting all World Cup matches:

  • Moscow
  • St Petersburg
  • Kazan
  • Rostov-on-Don
  • Saransk
  • Smara
  • Volgograd
  • Nizhny Novgorod
  • Kaliningrad
  • Ekaterinburg.

How to get tickets?

FIFA is selling tickets in two phases. The first phase ran from 14 September until 12 October, while the second phase has been divided into two periods. One will run from December 5, 2017, to January 31, 2018. During this period tickets distribution will be random.

On the other hand, the second period will run from March to April. But, you’ll have a “last-minute” phase to get your ticket.
