30‑day visit eligibility
If you are a passport holder of the below country or territory, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30‑day visit visa free of charge.

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90‑day visit visa that’s valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre‑arranged visit visa if their 90‑day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180‑day visit eligibility
If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180‑day visit visa that’s valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.
Dubai immigration procedures
As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random eye screening for visitors to Dubai.
Visitors asked to proceed for eye screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies ‑ payable only in AED.
Important information
Before you travel to the UAE, please check your visa requirements and make sure you have a valid visa if needed, or if your passport needs to be valid for a minimum period. Holders of non‑standard passports and travel documents may also have different entry requirements: find out if you need to apply for a visa and other passport requirements.
As of 29 April 2016, GCC residence permit holders will need to apply for a UAE visa before arriving in Dubai.
As of 1 May 2017, Indian nationals holding a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months from the arrival date, and a visit visa or green card issued by the USA which is valid for a minimum of six months, or holding a UK or EU residence, can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days for a charge of AED120 (subject to change). They can apply to extend their stay for an additional 14 days for AED250 (subject to change).

Rules and conditions

Nationals of countries requiring a prearranged UAE visa can now apply and pay for their visas online through emirates.com.
If you are travelling to or stopping over in Dubai with Emirates, you can submit an application and receive your UAE visa entirely online – without having to submit your passport for stamping. The online visa application service is available for residents and nationals of many countries around the world. Find out if you can apply for a UAE visa. Applicants’ passports must have at least six months’ validity as of their date of travel to Dubai, and must be machine readable passports – handwritten passports are not accepted.
This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates ticket has already been issued and the flight itinerary already includes the desired time in Dubai. The itinerary into and out of Dubai should be on one ticket (PNR), and these flights must be Emirates flights. Note that any itineraries including any flights to or from Dubai on other carriers are not eligible for the online visa service.
A minimum of four international working days prior to arrival in Dubai is required, however Emirates does recommend that online applications are made as early as possible.

90 days Visit Visa for Dubai
Whether you are visiting Dubai for a long business tour, to attend a fair or seminar, to visit a friend or family, or just for sight-seeing, you can apply for a 90 days visit visa for UAE that allows you to stay in the country for a maximum of 3 months. So, if you are planning to stay in Dubai for a longer period of time, then a 90 days visit visa Dubai is the right type for you. Any individual who is not eligible for visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival in UAE is required to apply for this visa. The validity of this visa is for 58 days from the date of visa. It can be extended twice for 30 days. The fee for extending this visa is AED 850 each time
Applying for Dubai Visit Visa 90 Days
To apply for a 90 days visit visa for Dubai, you need to visit the UAE visa application center, submit your required documents and visa application, pay the fees and wait for the processing to take place. You can also apply for UAE visa online through Emirates Visa Services. It usually takes 3-5 days to process your visa application. Along with your visa application, you will need to submit certain documents as well, including copies of your passport and air ticket, and a couple of passport size photographs. You will also need to submit a covering letter mentioning the purpose for which you are visiting the UAE.
Sponsoring Visit Visa Dubai 90 Days
Any licensed travel agency, hotel, or national airline of the UAE can sponsor your 90 days visit visa Dubai. If you have availed the services of any of these service providers, then they would be glad to arrange a visa for you so that you can come to the country to avail their service. However, if you have a family member or friend already residing in the UAE, then you can request him or her to sponsor your visa. They will have to visit the UAE embassy in their city and apply for your visa. Once they receive it, they can send it to you, which you can use to enter Dubai from your country. While sponsoring your 90 days visit visa for UAE, your host will also need to submit his or her passport copy, residence proof and invitation letter.
90-days Visa on Arrival
Citizens of some countries can get visa on arrival for 90 days that is extendable as well. These countries are South Korea, Argentina, Bahamas, Solomon Islands and Nauru. The passports of nationals of the mentioned countries must be normal with six-month validity.
Nationals of some more countries can also obtain 90-days visa on arrival but it is non-extendable. These countries are Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Switzerland, Finland, Poland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Liechtenstein, Czech Republic. The passports of citizens of the listed countries must be normal with six-month validity. This type of visa must be used within 180 days from first entry.
Multiple entry tourist visa for all nationalities
A new multiple entry tourist visa can now be issued for all nationalities, in a step that aims to facilitate the process for tourists and visitors. The five-year visa enables tourists to enter multiple times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, which can be extended for another 90 days.

What is the validity of a tourist visa?
Depending on your plan, tourist visas to the UAE can be issued for 30 days or 90 days duration, single entry or multiple entry. Recently, the UAE facilitated a five-year visa which enables tourists to enter multiple times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, which can be extended for another 90 days.
Who can apply for your tourist visa?
Tourist visas through airlines
Each airline has some conditions, which must be met in order for your visa to be arranged by them. One of the conditions is flying with them. For more updated and specific information, check the following UAE-based airlines for visa types, facilities, terms and conditions:

Tourist visas through agencies and hotels
Licensed travel agents and hotels in the UAE can arrange a tourist visa for you provided you purchase the ticket through them and maintain hotel reservation with the specific hotel.
You can also contact travel agencies in your country for any tourist packages available to the UAE in collaboration with a local tour operator.
It is important to check the authenticity of travel agents you are dealing with and refrain from paying or sending copies of your official documents until after you are 100 per cent sure the tour operator is genuine. You can seek the help of the UAE embassy in your country for verification.
Note: The UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas. In order to get a tourist visa to the UAE, you need to get in touch with one of the UAE-based airlines, a tour agency or a hotel (where you intend to stay) in the UAE who will apply for visa on your behalf to the official visa-issuing authorities in the UAE.

Renewing or extending tourist visa
All types of visit and tourist visas can be extended for 30 days twice, upon applying for it and after successful approval by the relevant authority. This can be done without the need to leave the country.
Visitors and tourists can apply for the second renewal before the expiry of the first one against AED 600 each time of renewal.
Visa overstayers who do not renew, as above, will have to pay AED 100 fine for each day of their overstay, to be calculated from 10 days after the visa expiry.
However, the new rule for extension does not apply on the following categories:
- visitors and tourists who are residents in GCC countries
- residents accompanying GCC nationals
- those on special entry permits
- those on 96-hour permit for special missions.
