Ontario is well-known for its beautiful landscape and great cities. The province’s capital, Toronto, is well-loved around the world and features numerous attractions that tourists can’t get enough of. However, it’s not the only city you should visit in Ontario. Having gone through a lot of research and not to mention tried out quite a lot of spots myself over the course of two summers in Ontario, I have narrowed down my list to three great ones using which you will be able to have an utterly fun experience on your trip.

Algonquin Provincial Park

Algonquin Provincial Park is located on a peninsula in Northern Ontario, Canada. The park has an area of about 14,000 square kilometers and it is home to several lakes, forests and mountains. You can enjoy camping here or go hiking around the park to see its beauty.

Point Pelee National Park

Point Pelee National Park is situated along Lake Erie’s southern shoreline in Leamington, Ontario. It has an area of about 2,300 hectares and it features marshes, beaches as well as sand dunes. The park also has trails for hiking as well as bird watching opportunities.

Kawartha Lakes Provincial Park

Kawarthas Lakes Provincial Park is located near Peterborough in Ontario Canada. It has an area of approximately 1,000 hectares and it features lakeside cottages where visitors can stay during their vacations. There are also beaches here where people can swim or play volleyball if they wish to do so while on their vacations in this area

For the best summer vacation spots in Ontario, there are many options.

One of the most popular is Niagara Falls. It’s a beautiful place to visit during the summer and has a lot to offer tourists. This includes things like the Maid of the Mist boat ride, which takes you right up close to the falls themselves; The Butterfly Conservatory; and a variety of other activities like hiking, biking, parasailing and more. You can also visit Fort George National Historic Site or explore some of the natural wonders like Cave of the Winds or Devil’s Hole Gorge. The city also overlooks the Horseshoe, sometimes referred to as the Canadian Falls; a crescent-shaped cataract measuring 177 feet in height. This portion of the falls carries approximately nine times the amount of water that the United States side does.
