American Visa For Turkey

The purpose of this article is to help those expats and people from Turkey who have been yearning to work in the US or Canada to know they can easily obtain an American/French Visa. This article will help you to understand the visa process, as well as, give you some ideas on how you can get an American visa with a Turkey passport.

If you are planning to travel to the United States of America, you will need an American Visa. Depending on your origin country and age, there are different types of Visas which allow you to stay in the U.A.E. The type of visa that you need depends largely on how long you plan to stay in the U.A.E., what your intentions in the U.A.E. are and whether or not you have visited the U.A.E before or not [1].

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara and the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul are the two-nonimmigrant visa (NIV) processing posts in Mission Turkey.  All scheduling is managed by https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ 

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara:  At this time, due to a backlog in immigrant visa cases, the U.S. Embassy in Ankara is only providing NIV services to applicants that have urgent medical/humanitarian issues, have travel connected to public health and safety (aviation/flight safety, food safety, health or medical workers connected to COVID mitigation efforts), or travel connected to significant U.S. economic impact.  To request consideration for an expedite appointment, please visit: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-tr/niv Routine NIV services remain suspended. 

The U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul: At this time, the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul is processing all categories of nonimmigrant visas, however, appointment capacity is limited. Similar to U.S. Embassy – Ankara, Istanbul will consider expediting appointments that have urgent medical/humanitarian issues, have travel connected to public health and safety (aviation/flight safety, food safety, health or medical workers connected to COVID mitigation efforts), or travel connected to significant U.S. economic impact.  To request consideration for an expedite appointment, please visit: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-tr/niv

Emergency NIV Appointments 

Emergency NIV appointment requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you have a genuine emergency that would qualify for an emergency visa appointment, please follow the instructions for Emergency Visa Requests below. Please note, pending school admission, business travel, and family visits do not qualify for emergency services. 

Renewing Your NIV  

As of January 26, 2021, applicants with prior visas may be eligible to renew their visa without an interview.
