A Visa For Turkey
Turkey is a pay-to-staysite. To travel, or to live in Turkey, you need to be a resident or have a visa. A residence requires specific conditions to get a permit and a visa requires that you meet certain criteria. Turkey Visas Information and Requirements – It is possible to explore Turkey by land, sea and air. For example, it is possible to explore Turkey by air with a visa for Turkey if you arrive on a direct flight from Great Britain. However, this depends on the respective rules and regulations of the country of origin. If you are travelling to Turkey by air then check with your consulate or embassy before you travel. For example if you are coming from the USA, if your flight takes off from one city in the USA to another destination in Turkey, then the plane will land in Istanbul first and it will require passport control in the immigration Hall of the airport. With your passport control document that is given to you at this time, you are allowed to fly into Istanbul only. The immigration officer will stamp your passport with an exit stamp for an indefinite period of time and an entry stamp which will grant access to Turkey. In case there is no plane change, no stopover or no layover between your departing flight (for example London) and your final destination (for example Istanbul), then if your flight takes off from UK directly to Istanbul without any plane change or stopover then yes, you can travel visa free or without a Turkish visa.
