UAE residents can get an e-Visa to Azerbaijan. There are ninety-five country citizens allowed to get an electronic visa according to the new system. Getting an Azerbaijan visa for UAE residents is easier via www.evisa.com.az portal. While doing so, applicants do not need to stand in the long queues in front of the embassies. 

If you are a UAE resident, you can apply for a visa from the comfort of your home and get your visa within one to three days. Applying for an e-Visa via the portal is not complicated. The process itself takes roughly ten to twenty minutes. In case of any difficulty, the support team is there to assist you. 

Requirements for Azerbaijan visa for UAE residents

Before going to apply for a visa, gather all the required documents. The requirements for an online visa application are listed right below. 

  • Passport. Passport is the most important document for getting a visa. Make sure your passport is valid. 
  • A scanned copy of your passport. In the application portal, you will be asked to upload a digital copy of your passport. That is why it is important to get an electronic version of it beforehand.

Important information for UAE residents

Starting from 26 of July 2018 holders of UAE residency visa can obtain tourist visa to Azerbaijan for the period of 1(one) month upon arrival at the airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The relevant valid visa along with the passport or travel document must be presented.

UAE residents with a valid residence visa can enter Azerbaijan without getting a prior visa at the embassy or the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in UAE.

Please note, that all foreigners staying in Azerbaijan more than 15 days should have a registration at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Please ask your hotel to assist you on the first days of your visit if you plan to stay in the country more than 15 days.

DO UAE RESIDENTS NEED A VISA FOR AZERBAIJAN?

Azerbaijan is one of the visa-free countries for UAE residents and locals, which offers visa on arrival.

Depending on your passport, when travelling from UAE to Azerbaijan, it is recommended that you pre-apply for the Azerbaijan Asan Visa online to save time. The Asan Visa is an e-visa offered to 94 countries across the globe. However, due to COVID-19, restrictions have been placed on some countries.

For passport holders of eligible countries, it is mandatory to submit the Azerbaijan e-visa application a minimum of 3 days prior to the expected date of arrival.

The single-entry Azerbaijan visa for UAE residents and citizens is valid for up to 30 days of stay. The cost of applying for Azerbaijan visa on arrival is USD 26, which rounds up to around AED 96.

THE COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR TRAVELLING FROM UAE TO AZERBAIJAN

According to the official sources, the following are the COVID-19 related requirements for a trip to Azerbaijan:

  • Travellers must be fully vaccinated, with the last vaccination received at least 2 weeks before the intended travel date.
  • They must have a verifiable (with QR code) vaccination certificate. 
  • A negative result on PCR test taken no longer than 72 hours before travel.

There are no exemptions to these rules, except for children less than a year old.
