1. The Lobster Dock: This place is a local favorite. The lobster rolls are fresh and delicious, and the lobster stew is to die for! They also have great kids’ meals, including mac and cheese or chicken fingers.
2. Penobscot Bay Brewery: This brewery has a full menu of great food options that pair well with their beer—and they make their own beer! It’s right on the water and has a beautiful view of the harbor.
3. Molly’s Tavern: This bar has been around since 1774, so it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an old fashioned experience (though it’s not just for tourists). It serves up some amazing burgers and fries that will leave you wanting more!
4. The Captain’s Galley: This restaurant is pretty new but has already made a name for itself as one of the best places to eat in Kennbunkport because of its amazing seafood dinners—and they even have gluten-free options!

Mill Creek Tavern – Our favorite spot for lunch! They have delicious sandwiches and salads, as well as plenty of vegan options.

The Black Trumpet Bistro – We love this place for dinner because it has such a cozy atmosphere. They have an extensive wine list and great cocktails as well!

Nunan’s Lobster Hut

One of Kennebunkport’s best loved and most longstanding seafood restaurants, Nunan’s Lobster Hut first set up shop in 1953 when local fisherman George Nunan decided to expand his business. Over 60 years later, Nunan’s Lobster Hut remains family owned and operated and the charming red and yellow painted wooden building in which it resides has become an iconic mainstay in Kennebunkport’s dining scene. Beyond its legendary, steamed-to-perfection lobster – available on its own or in a stew, salad or roll – Nunan’s Lobster Hut serves a much loved clam chowder and guests shouldn’t leave without sampling its famous blueberry pie a la mode.

On the Marsh Bistro

Located on the outskirts of Kennebunkport in a beautifully converted old farmhouse in neighboring Kennebunk’s Lower Village, On the Marsh Bistro serves upscale American fare in an elegant, romantic space overlooking tidal salt marshes. Head chef Jeffrey Savage crafts exquisite entrees like roasted half duck with hash, and pan-seared sea scallops with Tuscan white beans, kale and roasted red pepper sauce. One Dock Prime

Located in downtown Kennebunkport’s Dock Square in the historic Kennebunkport Inn, One Dock Prime serves classic American steakhouse fare in a stylish space boasting beautiful views of the Kennebunk River. Start with a tempting appetizer of beef carpaccio with herb mustard dressing and micro greens or wagyu meatballs with teriyaki sauce before choosing from mouthwatering mains like tender filet mignon with red wine bordelaise sauce, char-broiled double cut pork chop or swordfish with citrus marinade and tomato relish – perfect when paired with one of One Dock Prime’s quality wines or classic cocktails.

Alisson’s Restaurant

A Kennebunkport dining tradition, Alisson’s Restaurant has been serving its signature American pub grub for over forty years. Family owned, Alisson’s resides in a cozy, casual downtown space and in addition to its classic pub eats – think gourmet burgers and build-your-own pizzas alongside dishes like Maine lobster mac and cheese or New York sirloin steak – serves a number of locally themed drinks. Happy Gillis Cafe and Hangout

Brunching at this cozy Columbus Park spot feels like eating in a good friend’s kitchen. The cafe has a charming retro vibe with a compact menu with universal appeal to fans of both greasy-spoon classics and blue-corn avocado tostadas alike.

Pigwich / Local Pig

End a trip through the lively shops and stalls of the City Market with a visit to Pigwich, where the focus is on hefty sandwiches made with locally sourced meats from the beloved butcher shop next door. The Golden Ox claims to be the birthplace of the Kansas City strip, but the menu is packed with other midcentury steakhouse classics too, from plate-busting porterhouses to loaded baked potatoes to dessert cocktails like the Pink Squirrel.

Corvino Supper Club & Tasting Room

Choose your own adventure at this chic Crossroads restaurant. In the supper club, share fried chicken and seaweed doughnuts with friends while listening to live music.
