• Each ticket for those over 44″ tall gives access to the tubing hill and one snow tube for one session
• Tickets for those under 44″ tall provide access, but do not include a tube
• Open Friday-Sunday and Holidays during the winter season

Children under 44″ tall must have adult supervision at all times. A child ticket cannot be purchased without an adult ticket.

IMPORTANT! Tickets are not available for purchase at the Tubing Park. All tickets must be purchased online and availability is limited. We highly recommend shopping in advance as sessions often sell out, especially on weekends. If tickets for a particular day or session are not available, it means that session is sold out or we are closed that day.

Know Before You Go

We encourage guests to arrive 45 minutes to one hour prior to their tubing session to check in, especially on holidays.

• Visitors cannot enter the Tubing Park without a ticket.
• Tubing liability release must be signed electronically during checkout to complete your purchase.
• Only our equipment can be used on the tubing hill. Ticket prices include snow tube (except child ticket).

Refund Policy

• Tickets may be refunded up to 48 hours prior to your original session start time by submitting a request here.  (This information is also included in your confirmation.)
• Please note this is a mountain environment with varying weather and road conditions. We are still open when traction tires, chains, and/or AWD is required. Please plan accordingly by calling 511 from your cell phone or checking our website which has links for roads, weather and cameras.
• In the event of a road closure leading up and through your session, we will refund your tickets automatically. We do not give partial credits and/or refunds for missed sessions due to chain/traction requirements on I-90. Plan to arrive 45-60 minutes prior to your session time to have plenty of time to get your tickets.

Instead of a toboggan, you use a tube—it’s basically like being on a water slide in that you’re sliding down snow—and then when you reach the bottom, you go back up again (in some cases).

Here are our top picks for where to tube this season:

AMELBACK MOUNTAIN-TANNERSVILLE, PA

Camelback ski resort boasts having the largest snow sled tube park in the United States. The idyllic destination is nestled in the Pocono Mountains and features 42 lanes designated especially for tubing. The facility also has conveyors for the convenience of guests. The park also features the ”Galactic” light show for winter sports enthusiasts who enjoy gliding in the snow under the moonlight and stars. Admission tickets are the same price for everyone regardless of age. Youngsters must be at least 33 inches tall and accompany a parent or other adult on a double tube. Children 44 inches and taller are allowed to sail the slopes on their own tubes.

WINTERGREEN RESORT-WINTERGREEN, VA

The reasonably priced tubing hill at Wintergreen is affectionately known as “the plunge” or the “scream machine.” The resort is located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and offers a 10-story peak that transforms into an undulating ride of more than the length of three football fields. The thrill ride enables blow up snow sleds to fly down the hill at speeds of up to 30mph. A conveyor takes guests back to the top of the hill. Unlike many resorts, Wintergreen is open six days a week and offers night tubing each night. Regulations include one person per tube. However, hooking tubes together for the ride down the hill is permitted. The facility has a 42-inch height restriction. Families having smaller children have the option of visiting nearby Ridgely’s Fun Park.

TIMBERLEE HILLS-TRAVERSE CITY, MI

Timberlee Hills is not a conventional resort. The location features the largest hill in the state of Michigan that enables guests to glide down the slope the old-fashioned way without lanes. However, there is a handled tow system that takes tubing fans back to the top. There are no height restrictions and admission is the same for all. The fee is typically less expensive than what you encounter at ski resorts. The cost also includes tube rental. When you are ready to take a break and thaw out, the Timberlee’s Hilltop Hideaway boasts a bar and restaurant. Enjoy feasting on pizza and a beer or hot chocolate while getting warm by the fire.

MAD RIVER MOUNTAIN-ZANESFIELD, OH

Ohio is not known for majestic peaks. However, Mad River Ski Resort’s Avalanche Tubing Park has 10 ribbon-styled lanes that enable snow sled tube riders to careen down undulating terrain on 1,000-foot runs. Avalanche Tubing is also the largest facility in the state. Two lifts take riders back to the top of the hill. There are no height or age restrictions. However, there are no tandem tubes. Youngsters must be able to ride independently. But, designated lanes allow riders to form chains when going down the slope. The all-inclusive admission fee includes tube rental. On Friday and Saturday nights, winter sports fans have the chance to tube till their heart’s content, as the runs stay open until 1 A.M.

KEYSTONE RESORT-KEYSTONE, CO

For anyone who enjoys the beauty of the mountains, Keystone Resort is the place to enjoy blow up snow sleds in the Midwest. Adventure Point tubing hills begin at the top of Dercum Mountain surrounded by the White River National Forest. The facility features six tubing lanes that vary in height and speed. Beginners might prefer a more gentle glide while experienced tube fans enjoy the thrill of racing down other lanes. Magic carpet conveyors take guests back to the summit. There is tubing after sunset and some nights feature disco or music from the 80s blaring across the mountain. The resort also offers tubing year round. Children must be at least 42 inches tall to ride. Otherwise, families are welcome to go to the Keystone Nordic Center. Admission fee to Adventure Point is pricey. A one-hour ride is comparable to three hours at some other locations.

1. Camelback Mountain Resort – Tannersville, PA

Did you know that Camelback Mountain Resort in the Poconos is the largest snow tubing resort in the U.S.? And did you know it also offers Galactic Snowtubing? Galactic Snowtubing includes colorful LED lights and music for nighttime tubing on 42 lanes! Galactic Snowtubing access is included in all snow tubing ticket prices.

At Camelback Mountain Resort, you can enjoy your favorite activity any time of day—even at night! The resort’s 42-lane Galactic Tubing Park features a variety of lanes with different features, so you can have fun on your own terms. You’ll be able to choose from multiple lanes with special effects like music and lights, as well as lanes without them so you can have a more traditional experience.

When you’re finished sliding down Camelback Mountain Resort’s slopes, there are plenty of other things to do at this Poconos resort. If you want to tube in the daylight, you can hop on the lift at 8:30am and ride until 3:30pm. The resort will stay open until 5pm if it’s busy. At night, you can tube from 5:30pm to 9pm. The lift stays open until 10pm if it’s busy.

The Northern Lights Tubing experience begins with a scenic chairlift ride up to the top of the mountain, where guests will get fitted with their tube and helmet. Snow tubing is a great activity for families with kids of all ages—and it’s even better when you have friends there with their kids too! The resort offers both sledding and skiing/snowboarding lessons. So whether you’re an expert or just starting out in the world of winter sports, Massanutten has what you need to keep everyone safe while having fun.

Online reservations are available for the 2021-22 snow sports season based on our Winter Purchasing Schedule. Massanutten owners can purchase products 30 days in advance using the owner’s portal. Guests staying at a Massanutten-owned property can purchase products 21 days in advance using emailed link. Remaining ticket reservations will be available to the general public 10 days in advance. Snow Tubing has a limited number of tickets available per session, per day. Snow Tubing is very popular and regularly sells out. Snow Tubing tickets for each session are available for purchase online (using widget above). Tickets cannot be reserved or purchased by phone. Please purchase your tickets online in advance, so that your tickets are secured before coming to see us.

New this season: Massanutten has partnered with Axess to provide direct to lift access for our guests. Electronic gates will be placed at each lift to allow access based on ticket type and time of day.

TIP: Snow tubing cards are not reloadable. 

How to use your snow tubing card:

1. Place your card in your LEFT jacket pocket by itself. Do not place cell phones, credit cards, or foil in the same pocket.
2. Keep your card in your pocket as you approach the gate. Carry only one card at a time.
3. The gates will open automatically.

REMINDER: Do not punch a hole in your card. Punching a hole could cause damage to the RFID antenna. There will be a $20 fee to reprint any Reload. Reuse card.

Blue Mountain snow tubing

Blue Mountain Ski Resort is a family-friendly ski resort that’s been around since 1970. It has two slopes, one blue and one red, with varying degrees of difficulty. You can also hit the tubing park or the mini-golf course!

The resort offers ski lessons for all ages and abilities. If you’re looking to take your kids skiing for the first time, they offer special programs for kids ages 2–6, ages 7–10 and ages 11–14 as well as private lessons for children 5 and younger.

If you’re an experienced skier or snowboarder, Blue Mountain has plenty of runs that will challenge your skills. They have a 1,000-foot vertical drop on their mountain, making it one of the best places in Ontario to spend a day on the slopes.

The Snow Tubing Park at Blue Mountain Resort is the USA’s largest with 46 lanes of thrills. Fly down the longest and fastest lanes in the region, each over 1,000ft long! Snow tubing is available starting Sunday, December 26th. Sessions are 3 hours long and begin every hour on the hour.

Snow Tubing Tickets & Hours

Snow tubing tickets are sold in 3-hour sessions that begin every hour on the hour. Your ticket will ONLY be valid for your 3-hour session purchased. Please arrive an hour early to allow for parking and ticket pick up. Tickets should be printed at one of pick-up boxes located outside of the Valley Adventure Center by scanning the barcode in your confirmation email. There is no age requirement for snow tubing, however, all tubers must be at least 36″ tall. Each snow tubing session has a limited capacity, purchasing in advance saves you money and guarantees your spot in the snow tubing park!
