This can be a daunting task – especially if you’re trying to find something that’s relatively inexpensive and avoids tourist traps. In this post, we’ll take a look at some possible destinations for either a weekend getaway or extended trip.
As a travel agent it was my job to be well-versed on a large number of destinations. Since this was a well-known summer vacation location I would lead many groups but always found myself returning back year after year. So, to help you better navigate this destination, here are some great spots to visit.

The Poconos Mountains are home to some incredible hiking trails that offer spectacular views of the surrounding area. You can also do some biking along the trails if you’d rather not hike! There’s also plenty of great lodging options available if you’d like to stay overnight at one of these spots.

12. Burlington, VT
