The best time to travel anywhere is almost always when you have the most flexibility. However, for many people, this usually means booking the trip well ahead of time – and yes that does mean a specific period of time. The peak season for Virginia Beach typically falls between Mid-June through Mid-September. These dates are typically considered high tourist season in VA Beach because it’s still not too hot and not too cold…just perfect beach weather!

The best time to vacation in Virginia Beach is from late May to early September. That’s when the weather is most pleasant and the beaches are at their best. You’ll still be able to enjoy the beach without having to worry about getting sunburned or too hot.

While there are no official “seasons” in Virginia, the peak tourist season runs from April through October. Visitors tend to stay longer during the summer months and shorter during the winter months.

The weather is mild year-round, with average temperatures reaching the high 70s during the summer and low 50s during winter. The average rainfall for Virginia Beach is about 42 inches annually, which makes it much less rainy than other popular beach destinations like Miami or New York City.

Considering humidity, temperatures feel nice some of the year, but often too hot in the summer and cold in the winter with a chance of rain or snow throughout most of the year.
