Pros and Cons of an All Inclusive Vacation

When you book an all-inclusive vacation, your travel, accommodation, and food are covered in one up-front price. This can be appealing because it simplifies the planning process and allows you to budget more easily for your trip.

However, there are also some potential downsides to consider before booking an all-inclusive vacation. First, your choice of lodging and activities may be limited compared to what you could find if you were booking everything separately. Second, all-inclusive rates can sometimes be higher than the cost of putting together your own trip from scratch.

So, should you book an all-inclusive vacation? It really depends on your personal preferences and needs. If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to travel and don’t mind paying a bit extra for the convenience, then an all-inclusive vacation could be a good option for you. However, if you’re more of a DIY planner or want maximum flexibility on your next trip, then booking everything separately might be the better route for you.

What is Included in an All Inclusive Vacation?

When you book an all inclusive vacation with airfare, everything from your flight to your hotel room and meals are covered in one price. This makes planning your trip much easier and can often save you money.

Most all inclusive vacations include a hotel room, all meals and drinks (including alcohol), ground transportation, and sometimes even excursions and activities. Some resorts also include spa treatments and golf in their all inclusive packages. Be sure to read the fine print before booking so you know exactly what is included in your vacation.

Tips for Picking the Perfect All Inclusive Vacation

When you book an all inclusive vacation, everything is taken care of for you. All you have to do is show up and enjoy your vacation. But how do you pick the perfect all inclusive vacation? Here are a few tips:

-Pick a destination that you’ve always wanted to visit. An all inclusive vacation is the perfect opportunity to finally see that place you’ve always dreamed of.

-Do some research on the different all inclusive resorts in your chosen destination. Read reviews and compare prices to find the best value for your money.

-Think about what kind of activities you want to do on your vacation. Many all inclusive resorts offer a wide variety of activities, from swimming and sunbathing on the beach to hiking and biking trails, so be sure to pick a resort that has something for everyone in your group.

-All inclusive vacations can be a great value for your money, but be sure to read the fine print before booking. Some resorts charge extra for certain activities or amenities, so you’ll want to make sure you know what’s included in the price of your vacation before you book.

Thank you, Intercon, for doing what you do best… Appreciate the room upgrade and sweet bday dessert for my 13 year old upon arrival. The snorkeling and diving directly off of our room was simply the best. We had no idea there was a wreck to dive 500 feet from our amazing, gorgeous room with a view. This place has a chill vibe with beautiful views from every angle, especially the beach, infinity pool and all on site restaurants. Simply no reason to go off resort ( in fact, do not unless you are diving with Scuba Du, located on property). We will definitely be back.

We choose this property for the snorkeling. The check in and the staff were very good. The property is very nice, but some rooms need updating such as sink drains that are very old and some of the furnishing. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time! Our concierge Pamela was the best! She made sure we were well taken care of. The staff was amazing, and made our time there feel very special. Our room was very clean, the view amazing, and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to be able to come back .

Accommodated our request for2 beds and the location is ideal for the ferry to Playa del Carmen. Only complaint was they didn’t provide bottled water in room and one should carry own bottle to fill from water in the lobby.

4.5/5 Wonderful! (359 reviews)

Just got back from spending 6 nights at this wonderful resort. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the quiet relaxing jungle vibes of the Explorean. Almost all of the staff is friendly, tentative and helpful we really felt like we were part of a big family. Food was delicious with extended options in the Fiesta Americana however the Explorean we felt was a little better. The tour guides during the excursions were great! Having these included really was amazing! A few hours of your day are planned and then you can relax by the beach or pool until your ready to have dinner. A few cons of the resort are the showers in the rooms, not much of a “party” night life unless you leave the resort and certain parts of the resort need to be updated like the pools with missing tiles. Other than these minor issues we still would recommend this resort.
