Summer Vacation in Haryana Schools 2022: Schools to close from June 1

According to the official orders from Haryana Government, all schools will be closed from June 1, 2022 for summer holidays. Haryana Schools Summer Vacations orders mention that all Haryana schools will be closed till June 30, 2022. The summer vacations order applies to all private and government schools of Haryana.

Uttar Pradesh summer vacations from May 20

Uttar Pradesh schools have declared summer vacations in government schools which will start on May 20, 2022, and end on June 16, according to the latest reports. Hence, students will get a 27 days summer break this year.

Delhi schools summer vacations from June 18 till June 28

The Delhi government has postponed Delhi school summer vacations till June 18, 2022. The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) officials said that summer classes in Delhi Schools are a must in order to make up for the learning deficit created due to the pandemic and the closure of schools. Earlier, Delhi schools were scheduled to go on vacation from tomorrow, May 11, 2022 till June 28, 2022.

Punjab school summer vacation 2022 begins from May 14

In a tweet, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that considering the sudden intense heatwave and suggestions of thousands of parents and teachers, it has been decided to declare summer vacation in all schools of Punjab from May 14.

For the past several days, maximum temperatures have been hovering a few notches above the normal limits in Punjab and some of its neighbouring states, including Haryana.

Andhra Pradesh summer vacation 2022

On April 23, the Andhra Pradesh School Education Commissioner, S Suresh Kumar, said that AP schools summer vacation will begin on May 6. The academic year 2022-23 would commence with the re-opening of schools on July 4.

Rajasthan School Summer Vacation 2022: Revises school timings due to heatwave

Many districts in Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Ajmer, Sikar, Churu and Jodhpur have revised school timings due to the temperature going up to 45 degrees celsius.

In the Jaipur district, the school timings for Classes 1 to 8 have been scheduled from 7:30 am to 11 am. The revised timings have to be followed by both government and private schools. But the school timings for Classed 9 to 12 have not been changed. The district administration also stated that the order will not apply to Class 8 board exams. The exams will be held as per schedule.

Maharashtra Summer Vacation 2022: New academic session to start on June 13

Earlier this month, the Maharashtra government issued a circular in which it announced summer vacations for students of classes 1-9 and Class 11 between May 2 and June 12. It said that the new academic session will start on June 13 in all regions except in Vidarbha, where it will begin on June 27 due to heatwave.

West Bengal begins summer vacations from May 2

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced that schools across the state will begin summer holidays from May 2 onward. The vacation will continue till June 15. The announcement comes after the CM conducted a meeting on the pretext of the heatwave in the state. The schools in the hill districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong are exempt from the order.

Meanwhile, State universities have been asked to decide whether they want to shift to online classes, bring forward the vacation or make suitable arrangements for the heat.

Odisha Schools Summer Vacation 2022: Educational institutes closed till May 2

The Odisha government recently announced the closure of schools, colleges and universities till May 2. However, other activities such as examination, evaluation, administrative and research work were continued as usual.

Meanwhile, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has rescheduled the class 10 or Madhyama exams 2022. The exams which were earlier scheduled to commence on April 28 have been postponed to May 9.
