The Department of Dentistry at this hospital provides oral and maxillofacial care and required state-of-the-art dentistry for tertiary care in- and out-patients, as well as for eligible medically healthy outpatients. The mission is accomplished by engaging in clinical practice, teaching, research, continuing education, medical outreach, and by providing consultative service to other hospital departments and outside institutions.

The tertiary care services are available for patients:  (a) who are medically compromised and have a well-defined relationship between their systemic health problems and their oral health, whose medical condition may make routine dental care hazardous without specific considerations and management, or who need dental/oral clearance prior to medical care at our institution, (b) who have oral-facial pain, (c) who require maxillofacial or comprehensive prosthetics, (d) who have facial deformities, or (e) who  require general anesthesia for dental treatment.

The Department of Dentistry serves four major categories of patients:

  • VIP / Protocol patients
  • Eligible Hospital Employees / Dependents
