The Korean consulate is an establishment that seems to exist in another world, where time moves a lot slower than it does outside. Like some sort of bureaucratic “Groundhog Day,” the entire application process is the same thing over and over again, every day, with no real end in sight.  Korea has stringent requirements to obtain a visa, but if you follow these guidelines carefully you should be able to make it though this odd bureaucratic maze in one piece.

I personally moved country a few times before moving here, and it was quite a complicated process. It gets even more complicated when you decide to move here on an E-2 or F-2 visa. Applying for a visa in the Republic of Korea might look a bit different than you are used to. There are certain procedures that go along with this process and it might be difficult for you to get all the documents needed.
