STEPS TO FOLLOW

DUBAI TO DUBAI (MAINLAND): 
If you are changing visa from a private company to another company in Dubai mainland, do the following steps:

• Cancel your labour Card from Tas’heel Centre

• Get job offer letter from the new company.

Documents Required
• Labour Card Cancellation receipt from Tas’heel
• Offer Letter of New Company (issued through Tas’heel Centre /MOHRE
• Undertaking Letter in Arabic from your side stating that you will stamp your new visa within 30 days from the date of hold.
• Original passports of you and your family and copies.

• Take the above documents to the following Amer Centers for this service:
Al Manara Centre, Municipality Building, Near Metro Station: Noor Islamic Bank (Red Line), Phone: 04-707 5969

Al Twar Centre, Municipality Service Centre, Al Towar, Qusais, Opposite Al Towar Mall, Phone: 04-707 5162

• Pay Dh2500 as deposit.

• Dh141 extra to be paid at Immigration as service charge for each dependent’s Passport.

• Immigration Department will issue a receipt for the deposited amount and family visa holding is done.

• Now your company PRO can cancel your visa.

• Apply for your new Work Permit and complete the procedures.

New company can’t apply for your new work permit before you cancel your old labour card and visa in the passport.

Period of Visa holding is 30 days. After that fine will be charged.

My family visa is on hold. Can they travel during this period?
A: 
No. They cannot travel till you clear the hold. • After get issued the Visa, you have to change Visa Status, apply for MedicalEmirates IDlabour contract and Visa Stamping.

Clear-hold:
 show your new labour contract and new visa stamped passport at Immigration Department to refund the money.REFUND PROCEDURES

• Take original deposit receipt, your passport and new labour contract to Refund Counter at the same GDRFA branch.

• Get no objection for refund seal from the counter and go to Dubai Commercial Bank (next to Immigration building) and collect the cash. Bank will charge Dh40 as commission.

FREE ZONE TO DUBAI (MAINLAND): 
If you are changing visa from a Free Zone to Dubai mainland company, do the following steps:

• Let the new company apply work permit for you
• After the approval from Ministry of Labour, submit the work permit and appointment letter to Immigration Department and deposit Dh2500 to hold your dependents visa.

• Dh141 extra to be paid at Immigration as service charge for each dependent’s Passport.

• Immigration Department will issue a receipt for the deposited amount and family visa holding is done.

• Now your company PRO can cancel your visa.

• Apply for your new Work Permit and complete the procedures.

FREE ZONE TO FREE ZONE): If you are changing visa from a Free Zone to Free Zone company, do the following steps:
• End of service letter from Free Zone authority.
• Job offer letter from new company.

Period of Visa holding is 60 days. After that fine will be charged. If the allowed period exceeded, the applicant cannot change status inside the country and he/she must exit and enter on new visa. In such case he/she can exit to Oman or home country after receiving the new visa (Fly Dubai package is available for visa change).

• After get issued the Visa, you have to change Visa Status, apply for MedicalEmirates IDlabour contract and Visa Stamping.

Clear-hold: show your new labour contract and new visa stamped passport at Immigration Department to refund the money.

CHANGING TO INVESTOR/PARTNER VISA: If you are changing to Investor/Partner Visa, type the application, get seal and signature of sponsor, submit the application at the immigration Head Office, Jafliya, pay Dh680 to issue visa inside the country, Dh2500 as refundable deposit to hold dependants visa and Dh150 service charge for each dependent’s Passport.

• Investor/Partner Visa holder needs to show his/her new visa stamped passport only to refund the money.

• Family visa needs to renew only at the time of its expiry. No need transfer.

REFUND PROCEDURES

• Take original deposit receipt, your passport and new labour contract to Refund Counter at the same GDRFA branch.

• Get no objection for refund seal from the counter and go to Dubai Commercial Bank counter and collect the cheque/cash. Bank will charge Dh40 as commission. 

IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE ABOVE CATEGORY (Cancel Dependent’s visa and apply new)
• If you are changing visa from Dubai mainland to mainland company, you can follow below mentioned steps:

• Cancel your dependents visa first from Immigration. They can stay here 29 days after cancellation without fine if the present visa is not expired at the time of cancellation
• Now your present company can cancel your own visa and let your new company apply work permit for you. You can stay here 29 days after cancellation without fine if the present visa is not expired at the time of cancellation

• After completion of all payments of Ministry of Labour, pay inside the country fee for Immigration. Dh680 is the extra fee to get visa inside the country

• Type Status Change form from AMER Centre and pay Dh720.

• Do medical test, type labour contract from Tas’heel Centre and submit the Contract at Tas’heel Centre after signing employee and employer. You can print your labour contract next working day from MOHRE website or Typing Centre.

eDNRD Online: Submit visa stamping application through www.ednrd.ae, track application status, after approval, Call Zajel on 800 21111 to collect the documents. After two days Zajel will deliver your visa stamped passport.

This service is available at Typing Centre if your company has user ID & password. Fee: Dh370 (Typing charge extra).
