General Requirements for Lebanon Visa

Lebanon Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Only Mauritians who intend to visit  Lebanon for tourism and pleasure purposes are eligible for  a Lebanon tourist visa. 
  • The Tourist Visa is sub-divided into two types: 
  • The Single Entry Tourist Visa and the long tourist visa. The single entry visa is valid for 30 days while the long term visa is valid for 90 days. 
  • The long term tourist visa is meant for visitors who intend to spend more than 30 days in Lebanon. With a long term tourist visa, you can stay for 90 days
  •  Mauritians  who  are visiting  their friends and relatives in Lebanon, also need  to obtain a tourist visa. 
  • You are  eligible for a tourist visa if  you wish to either visit Lebanon for a short period of time for business, meetings and conferences.  However, the Lebanon tourist visas are mainly for temporary visits. 
  • You can obtain a tourist visa when you want to participate in an unpaid sport, artistic events or competitions. An invitation letter from the sponsoring  organisation in Republic of Lebanon is required for the processing of your visa application. 
  • The above also applies for when you want to visit Lebanon to participate in an unpaid science or academic competition. 
  • Your Mauritius passport should be valid for  a minimum of  six months 
  • Prearrangement is required to apply for a tourist visa.  You are hereby required to apply a month before the date of your entry into Lebanon. . 
  • The tourist visa is non-extendable. 
  • Unaccompanied young or women applicants are expected to have pre-approvals from immigration if they are travelling alone. 
  • Females under the age of 18 years are not eligible to apply for this type of visa. 
  • Your passport has to contain an evidence of prior or intended visit to Israel
  • You have to show a proof of your return flight ticket to your home country or any other destination before your application is granted approval.

Lebanon Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A  Mauritian work visa permits  Mauritians who were employed by a Lebanese company to work in Lebanon.   
  •  As Mauritian citizen who have gained employment in Mauritius, your employee has to apply for a work visa on your behalf.   
  • F you want to obtain a work visa, you must have secured employment form a company based in Republic of Lebanon or government department, or from a foreign company based in Lebanon.
  • If you obtain a work permit, you are eligible to apply for a temporary residency at the General Security within three months of visit to Lebanon. 
  • The validity of a work visa  lasts for at least 30 days.
  • Your Lebanese work visa application approval  depends on a pre-approval from the minister of labor. 
  • The processing of a  Lebanese work visa application  takes about 10 working days to be approved and completed. 
  • If when you apply for a Lebanese work visa,  you will be eligible to renew only once. 
  • As a Mauritian working with a Lebanese work permit, your spouse can’t work under the cover your own work permit. 
  • While you are applying for a Mauritian visa, your work visa must be sponsored.   
  • Your sponsor has to provide a letter of invitation or trade letter, which is required during the process of your work visa
  •  The necessary documents for the process of a work visa application has to underline the duration of stay and reason of  your visit. 
  • The visa is  specifically for one job, and is not transferable between employees. You would have to apply for a new visa if you secure a new job.
