The tourist visa is probably the most common type of visa that is issued to foreign nationals when traveling to the Sultanate of Oman. These visas are generally issued for a period of 30 days from the day of arrival. However, this period can be extended after the initial stay for up to 90 days.

What Online Visas Are Available to Indian Nationals?

There are 3 different Oman eVisas available to Indian passport holders:

26M—30-day single-entry visa

With the 26M visa, Indians can visit Oman once for up to 30 days.

36M—30-day multiple-entry 1-year visa

The 36M visa provides multiple trips to Oman in a 12-month period. The maximum stay per entry is 30 days.

Documents Required to Obtain the Oman Visa for Indian Citizens

Requirements to apply for a 26M or 36M Oman visa from India

The visa must be valid for more than 3 months. Applicants also need a confirmed hotel reservation and a return flight ticket.

To be eligible for the 29A Oman visa, Indian citizens must have a residence card from a GCC country. In addition to Oman, the GCC countries are Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

The residence permit must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of arrival in Oman.

Oman has an approved list of professions for this type of visa.  The Indian applicant’s profession must appear on this list to be eligible, there are over 1,000 approved professions.

Indians must travel to Oman directly from a GCC country with this visa.
