EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PERU VISA

However, a visa may be required if British nationals are intending to visit Peru for other purposes other than tourist-related activities.

Depending on the nature and purpose of the UK national’s trip, authorities in Peru have classified their visas into several types. Please find below the different types of visas issued by authorities in Peru.

Peru tourist visa

As mentioned above, UK citizens do not need to procure a visa if they are planning to enter Peru for tourism-related activities. Without a visa, British nationals can stay inside Peru for a maximum period of 183 days.

In order to stay visa free, all British citizens should meet the below-mentioned criteria.

  • In order to stay visa free, foreign national should hold a passport which is valid for six months, and it should also have a blank page.
  • It is necessary to hold proof of sufficient funds.
  • As a proof of travel arrangement, the foreign national is supposed to hold proof of onward and return flight tickets.

Peru business visa

If a UK national intends to visit Peru for business-related activities, it is mandatory to obtain a business visa. To get a business visa, travelers should submit the documents mentioned below.

  • It is necessary to submit a valid passport which is machine readable. Please note that this passport should have a minimum validity of six months, and it should also have one blank page for markings.
  • A photograph of the applicant taken in a white background should be submitted. Please note that this photograph is taken within the last six months, and it should provide the full-frontal view of the applicant’s head with the face centered in the head. In this photograph, the applicant should also make sure that he or she is maintaining a neutral facial expression.
  • As a proof of travel arrangement, the foreign national should submit copies of onward and return flight tickets, or the complete version of the itinerary.
  • In order to prove the financial health of the traveler, the foreign national should submit copy of recent bank statements.
