Santa Barbara, California is one of our favorite places to visit during the winter months. It’s warm enough for a swim and cool enough for an afternoon on the beach, but you don’t have to worry about getting too hot. In fact, we’ve never experienced any bad weather while staying here! The coastal town has amazing restaurants and shops (I would highly recommend checking out the Spanish arcade downtown) but if you’re looking for something off the beaten path then head up into the mountains where there are plenty of hiking trails that lead from one valley over another until eventually reaching a peak at which point you can look down at all of Santa Barbara below plus its surrounding townships before heading back down again.
