There are many reasons why you should consider studying in Singapore. It has a great reputation for producing quality graduates, and it is seen as one of the most sought-after destinations for international students. However, if you are looking to study in Singapore, you will likely need to obtain a student visa first.

The first thing that you should know about getting a study visa for Singapore is that there are two main types of visas: ones issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and ones issued by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA). The difference between these two types of visas is mainly how long they last.

The MOM-issued visas are valid for up to 1 year, whereas the ICA-issued visas can be valid for up to 3 years. In addition to this, MOM-issued visas can only be extended once before the expiration date has passed; however, ICA-issued ones can be extended three times before their expiration date passes as well.
