UAE – If the mother of a newborn baby born outside the UAE has a residency visa and an approved permit to return to the country, the baby can obtain an entry permit, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has clarified.
In an FAQ released by the authority, it stated that the ICA-issued entry permit is not valid for Dubai residents. Dubai residents can apply to issue entry permits through the link here. However, the holders of ICA entry permit can enter the country through any of the country’s airports, it added.
For getting an entry permit, the applicant must enter the details of a family member inside the country. The authority said those with their visas expired after April 1 can also get an entry permit as the government had extended the validity of visas till December 2020.
